Hello warriors, how are you?
This might sound like a really bad thing to do, but I have STOPPED offering consultancy appointments for PIP Claims.
Yes, I would be frowning whilst reading this too…..
I am already booked until February and that does not include the clients I help for free.
I currently have 33 clients that I am supporting with their claims and everyday I log on to my emails; more people have booked me. Its too much AND this does not include people who have submitted forms and are waiting for assessments. They are still on my list as well. When I work with people on PIP it becomes a very long term relationship. Some people link with me 3 years later when their review comes up.
Here is are my top issues:
I do not have enough time to help everyone
I am declining as I am doing more hours than I was running New Look Retailers UK Transport contract
I can NOT do this as a ‘job’ and not care. I deeply care about the people I meet via YouTube/PIP and their quality of life is extremely important to me
The current approach to PIP is NOT working. There is not enough help for people. Even people/organisations/charities that are crap are max’d out with people waiting for help with PIP
There has got to be a different way to do this. There are so many people I want to help and if I am only seeing people one on one it just will not work.
So. I am going to spend this month clearing down my current clients. PIP is not done in a week. It goes on for MONTHS and sometimes over a year. So, even though I plan on doing the bulk of the bookings I have I will still be helping clients for years to come.
So, whats the plan. I am going to change the way we approach PIP Training. I have some clear ideas and I have a meeting on Tuesday with one of my mentors on how to do this. And my friend (and old Boss) to talk about my strategy.
I am going to do a video update on this as soon as I firm up the plans. It WILL work. It WILL help more people WIN. AND, I will be able to manage it with my health issues…..without causing myself to decline.
Please subscribe to follow my journey:
Achievement of the week:
Honestly, I think it was having the balls to turn off the consultancy. I need money quite desperately for food/bills but I cannot keep going like this.
So, my plan is to use the savings for the toilet (for in my shed I am moving into) to fund the next month or so. Then hope like hell, my plan works.
Its scary, but down to my soul I am sure this will work. So, it feels less scary. But, I understand most business people would absolutely disagree with my approach.
What has made me happy this week:
I could not believe the amount of support I had regarding my first PIP loss. With all the clients I have, I did not anticipate the volume of support. So many people wrote comments, it has been amazing.
It also really fueled me to make change and to really make the most of all of the learnings I am having. So, thank you so much to all of the people who watched this and took the time to comment.
Books I have read:
None
A couple have arrived, which I am looking forward to reading. I did watch this and it blew my mind!
Arthritic update:
I have had a bit of a crappy pain week so I ended up crashing (sleeping) a few times. The root cause of this is that my mum declined. I was actually in a meeting with code name: ADAPTING PARTNERS and I told my mum I would help her.
I tried to help with some house keeping. BIG MISTAKE. The next day my pain was extremely severe. It was like my legs were a lead weight. I was exhausted. I had to delay some deadlines (we are ahead of course, so it was OK).
I am finding that my body is shutting down by about 13:00 BAD.
The good thing is I know the root cause and I will get back to ‘normal’ soon. My daily steps went from about 3.5k a day to 1.5k-2k. So a massive impact.
What I am looking forward to:
Updating people on the changes we are going to do regarding PIP
Linking with code name: THE GOOD LIFE for mentoring on food and living in a tiny house sort of off grid
British Gas are finally coming round on Monday to make my home safe so if they do what they said they are going to do, I might actually be able to move into my new home soon (I am planning for the worst and hoping for the best)
I have some great meetings booked that I am really looking forward to
I am on a steep learning curve regarding Autism at the moment as I am working with a few people that are impacted by this condition. I am loving learning about this and of course the people are all amazing (I have not met any knobheads via PIP….yet LOL)
Ollie and I’s training sessions are going great. We do this every Saturday morning now. I am making great progress as a dog trainer and Ollie is just loving it!
I just cannot wait to work on the development side of PIP now
I am adding this one….just in case…..I really want to make progress so I can move into my new home…..PLEASE let British Gas do their job right!

Take care of yourself
Charlie
Love this xx
So sorry to read all that crap about you. Likre you say the information is free. I know you have to put hours of blood sweat and tears into completing them so why shouldnt you be paid if the applicant cant do it themselves.
The mental health ones are particularly difficult.
I applaud you charlie you have helped me fill them in for some very complex cases
Thankyou Sue
